This product is ideal for welding similar compositions such as 316 and 316L, and in some cases 304 and 304L, as well as joining mild and low alloy materials. Its low carbon content prevents carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion when welding low carbon stainless steel grades, while higher levels of silicon result in improved arc stability, bead shape, and edge wetting. 316LSi is widely considered to be the top choice for stainless steel MIG wires, thanks to its precision layer wound design and low carbon content. The wire is also easy to start and feed smoothly, and its higher silicon content enhances weld edge wetting. Suitable for all welding positions, this 1kg spool is perfect for applications in food processing equipment, water processing filtration plants, and general stainless steel fabrications.
