These electrodes contain rare earth (mixed oxides) and are considered less harmful to the environment and non-radioactive compared to thoriated electrodes. They are universally applicable for both DC and AC welding and suitable for a wide range of metals, including non-alloyed and high-alloyed steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, and magnesium alloys. With excellent ignition properties, these electrodes are also suitable for automated welding and offer a longer service life and increased current carrying capacity due to their low electrode temperature.
