These tungsten electrodes, mixed with rare earth oxides, are an environmentally friendly and non-radioactive alternative to thoriated electrodes. They provide consistent welding properties and excellent ignition characteristics for both non-alloyed and high-alloyed steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, and magnesium alloys. With their superior ignition properties, they are well-suited for automated welding and have longer service life and increased current carrying capacity compared to thoriated electrodes.
